Lauda’s Nurburgring 1976 F1 helmet to be auctioned for first time
For the collector of the more macabre, or uber-Formula 1 fan or both, the burnt helmet Niki Lauda wore when he survived a death-defying and fiery crash at the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife in 1976, is up for auction next month in Miami.
