Kovalainen to stay at McLaren for 2009

McLaren revealed on Thursday that Heikki Kovalainen will drive for the British squad next season. Kovalainen, who is currently preparing for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, will continue to race alongside team mate Lewis Hamilton. The Finn replaced Fernando Alonso at McLaren for the 2008 season, after making his debut with Renault the year before. To date he has scored 28 points for the British team and clinched his only podium of the season after finishing March's Malaysian Grand Prix in third.
